About us
Sakhimfundo Youth Programme is a high quality educational initiative that provides focused academic support to school-going children in Alexandra Township, Johannesburg. Our mission is to improve the educational outcomes and life options for a group of talented hard working young learners.
We are led by a talented team of young people in Alexandra and are supported by partners with experience in new projects, education and youth development. We combine technology-enabled learning with homework support and life skills development. We are especially focused on learners in Grades 1-7.
Thanks to our donors, a world class beautiful well-equipped Education and Performing Arts Centre is currently under construction in Marlboro on the northern edge of the township.

We work with local partners who are making a positive change in the lives of their own community. Sakhimfundo is about a hand-up rather than a hand-out. The children in our programmes are committed to improving their academic marks and are working hard to achieve their dreams.
